Three engineers, the founders of Flexinnova kft, Hungary, invented and developed an original surface treatment process for dramatically increasing the coefficient of friction of plastic packaging films and woven fabrics. As a result of a co-operation between Flexinnova kft and machine manufacturer Starlinger & Co Gesellschaft m.b.H. (“Starlinger”), Starlinger, in its own areas, now sells anti-slip coating machinery called gripTEC to interested customers, for the production of anti-slip plastic packaging.

As part of the co-operation, Starlinger now holds the patent rights for one part of the world, and Flexinnova kft continues to hold the patent rights in other countries. Consequently, all enquiring customers from the latter countries will be directed to Flexinnova kft as a contact person. Flexinnova’s patent region covers the majority of Europe, plus North America, Japan and Australia.

Flexinnova kft is offering its cooperation to those finding interest in the technology of making anti-slip film products in countries where Flexinnova kft holds the patent rights.

Flexinnova’s first licensee was a heavy-duty packaging film manufacturer active in Hungary. Foltrade kft (an affiliate of Flexinnova kft) gives in its website many real-life examples of the patented technology being successfully used in anti-slip film sacks.
